Early this year, our team of specialists in grounds maintenance in Milton Keynes were asked to a site to pollard all the Hornbeam trees in the area.
Our client specifically requested that we pollard half of the site this year and then continue the other half next year. Their goal was to create a cleaner, less invasive look for their area and to make the site a brighter, safer place for the tenants to walk around in the evening.
Pollarding is a method of pruning and cutting trees that ensures trees and shrubs are smaller than they would naturally and usually grow; this helps to restrict their growth, improving the tree’s health whilst preventing any hazards or unorganised areas.
