About The Project
Having provided grounds maintenance in Milton Keynes for over 30 years, we recognise that sites require more than simply tending to foliage and grass cutting. That’s why our packages can include several additional services such as leaf clearances, litter removal and, for this particular client, moss cleaning.
As you can see from the photos below, our client had moss growing around their car park, pathways and outdoor staff communal area. Not only did this look unattractive, but as we reach the winter months, it also risks creating slipping hazards.
To tackle the issue before it caused any safety problems, our client asked us to include moss cleaning in their next site maintenance visit. This service is typically used on an ad hoc basis, offering a more cost-efficient solution for our clients.
As with all of our projects, our environmental impact remained at the forefront of our decision-making. We opted for chemical-free moss removal techniques using the Westermann Cleanmeleon Pro 2. Currently, we’re also looking into investing in a full battery-powered moss sweeper, helping to work towards a more sustainable future.
